Hearts were broken the day we found out we could no longer stay in our beloved city of Praha (not being dramatic or anything)... so why not take advantage of our last remaining weeks in The Schengen Zone.
As we stood in line at the Prague airport waiting to check in, we glanced around for a few moments of people watching. In front of us were a group of Italian girls; dark hair, stylish cloths, short and talking a mile a minute... behind us were an older married couple chatting away in Italian and behind them were some guys... best way to describe them were well Italian. It was a terminal filled with strong cologne, fast chitter-chatter and beautiful tan faces. We were the only people in that line not Italian... trope divergente!
Crammed with our knees to forehead, we sat for 2 hours in silence waiting for our plane to land in Naples. Bags were collected, some euros in the purse and not a lick of Italian to speak of... we made it!
Do you remember as a kid your parents telling you not to get in cars with strangers? Well, mom, dad I am sorry to say we didn't completely listen. Wanting to hurry to our room we allowed a stranger to convince us he could drive us there for 25 euro.. sure, why not, let's go. The scariest ride of my life!! People who learn to drive in Naples could drive anywhere. Cars sped past each other with maybe an inch to spare on either side, watch out we just about hit that moped but that's ok because the car to our right almost hit us, god those poor pedestrians dodging in between cars as fast as they can. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen and yet we made it in one piece to our "home away from home" in Naples.
